Contract Driver

Job Description

We are seeking dependable, customer-focused Independent Contractor Package Delivery Drivers to join our growing delivery network who will operate their own vehicles for package deliveries. Drivers are responsible for safely picking up, transporting, and delivering packages to residential and commercial customers while providing excellent customer service.

This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Contractors operate independently, accept available routes, and are responsible for completing deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver packages within assigned delivery areas.

• Load and organize packages for efficient delivery.

• Follow assigned routes using GPS and delivery applications.

• Scan packages and obtain proof of delivery when required.

• Communicate delivery issues or delays promptly.

• Provide courteous and professional customer service.

• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.

• Keep your vehicle clean and presentable.

• Protect customer packages from damage or loss.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Valid U.S. driver's license.

• Reliable insured vehicle (cargo van, SUV, minivan, or approved vehicle depending on route).

• Smartphone with reliable data service.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

• Clean driving record.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous package delivery experience.

• Experience with Amazon DSP, FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, Veho, Roadie, Spark, Walmart Spark, or similar delivery platforms.

• Knowledge of the local delivery area.

• Experience using GPS and route optimization apps.
